I think the gallery is super, well-lit and well positioned at the centre of Hay. The Get-in with Val and Jess was both timely and useful. As you know, I curated and hung the show myself which I was pleased to do. The mutual support from Instagram etc and the signage gave the opportunity a professional edge. And the facilities---loo, coffee making, internet---are all that are needed. I did not bother with a PV (but that is a personal choice) as was the decision to be in the gallery every day the show was on. I think over the period of a week that is sustainable, and you never know who may turn up! I organised my take down and that was fine too.

The really important bit is the public engagement and sales. I felt my exhibition was well attended and well received. Of course, a lot of these people are one's friends who are happy to give feed-back but less happy to buy stuff. Where I knew I had done well was with the at least three really in-depth conversations I had with total strangers who were themselves artists and who "got it". That is very rewarding.
